Libraries are havens for people whose lack of intelligence would amaze your average lab rat. The are havens for the trailer-trash, the rednecks, the hicks, the mouth-breathers, and all other forms of people with disgustingly low standards of living and even lower standards of personal hygiene.<BR/><BR/>(I think it's the pheromones that set us off more than anything else. Psychological studies have proven the effects of certain smells on an individual's mood. It's cool stuff, you can find it in the 591s, or if you're feeling a bit randy, the 612s.)<BR/><BR/>Enabling librarians to vent in forums such as these is probably saving lives. Obviously I shouldn't have to tell you this is a joke - although I do suspect there is a ring of truth to it, as well.<BR/><BR/>Your question makes me wonder if perhaps a correlation can be found between the rate of postal employee shooting sprees and the rise of blogging?
